The original concept of A Tragedy of Errors was born back in the mid-90's, as a youth theatre project I worked on with my an old friend (well, young friend then) Andrew Tilling. We wrote a show that never quite got to a full production, and then it got put in a drawer while we went off to college and other such adventures. Although I forgot about the show, the ideas it stirred up continued to buzz around the back of my mind.

This version of Tragedy was later created for the Cambridge Summer Music Festival in the UK in 2002, based upon the core ideas of that original work - the idea of mixing Shakesperian characters into one new show. It was subsequently produced by Theatre Street Performing Arts in London in 2004.

It then, inevitably, went into a drawer again, and gathered dust while I worked on other shows etc during the bulk of the 2000s.

The drawer has now at last been opened, and the show is being dusted off and given a new lease of life by the release of the professional and amateur rights to the worldwide market.
